Dansco Coin Albums have been a longtime companion for both expert numismatists and beginning coin collectors. The American Eagle Silver Dollars 1986-2021 Dansco Album comes in a 3/4" binder and holds up to 36 coins. The album has 4 Dansco pages (series:7181-1 to 7181-4 and a blank series page), each one holding and displaying all American Eagle Silver Dollars minted from 1986 to Date. The silver eagles are one-ounce silver coins with a face value of one dollar. The Liberty Walking design used for the half dollars appears again on the obverse of these coins. The reverse shows a heraldic eagle designed by John Mercanti. In 2010, the U.S Mint started issuing silver bullion coins struck with natural and historic sites on the obverse. The designs used for this series are identical to the ones being released for the America the Beautiful quarter program. It is interesting to note from 2006-2008 special American Eagle coins were released in silver, gold and platinum, and were sold directly from the U.S Mint. These coins, commonly known as "uncirculated burnished", can also be collected in this album. American Eagle silver coins are made of 99.93% silver and 0.07% copper. They measure 40.6 mm in diameter, and each weighs 31.10 grams. Dansco Coin Albums have their pages attached with metal screws, making it easy to add and replace.
