Dansco Coin Albums have been a longtime companion for both expert numismatists and beginning coin collectors. The Mercury Dimes 1916-1945 Dansco Album comes in a 5/8" binder and holds up to 84 coins. The album has 2 Dansco pages (series: 7123-1 to 7123-2), each one holding and displaying all Winged Liberty Head dimes (commonly called Mercury dimes) minted from 1916-1945. Adolph A. Weinman's design for the Mercury dimes has been considered one of the most beautiful designed ever used on U.S. coins. The obverse of the coins shows a Liberty Head with wings on her cap which are meant to symbolize liberty of thought. Mercury dimes are made of 90% silver and 10% copper. They measure 17.9 mm in diameter, and each weighs 2.50 grams. Mercury dimes were coined at the Philadelphia, Denver and San Francisco Mints. Dansco Coin Albums have their pages attached with metal screws, making it easy to add and replace.
